These fruit and veg boxes are always a great way to save money on your food shop – and now Lidl is joining in on the action at all stores in England, Scotland and Wales.

What you should know:

The boxes are dubbed 'Waste Not' boxes and are just £1.50 each
They contain approximately 5kg of fresh fruit and veg that might have minor damage or discolouration but are still perfectly edible
The boxes are prepared daily by in-store 'freshness specialists' and are available throughout the day, subject to stock – so you don't need to head there last thing
