Subway is the purveyor of the submarine sandwich and has grown to be one of the biggest fast-food chains in the UK in recent years. This has made it a definite student favourite.

The story of the Subway brand dates back more than 50 years, when a nuclear physicist gave a college freshman the idea to open a submarine sandwich shop to help pay for his tuition fees. The first store opened in Connecticut in 1965, and the duo began franchising 11 years later, resulting in the huge chain we all know and love today (with more than 44,000 locations around the world).

Unfortunately, there isn't currently a Subway student discount but there are always lots of great deals and offers on throughout the year and prices are affordable.
